Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sesame ("Sesame", "we", "us"), an AI-assisted outreach platform. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Sesame helps you research companies and contacts, draft outreach emails with AI assistance, and send and track those emails from your own connected mailbox. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. The service is currently offered in beta and may be free of charge; we may introduce paid plans with notice.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Acceptable use and anti-spam

Emails sent through Sesame come from your mailbox and are your responsibility. You agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws, including anti-spam laws such as the Australian Spam Act 2003, CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), and the GDPR/ePrivacy rules (EU/UK).
  • Only contact people where you have a lawful basis to do so, and accurately identify yourself in every message.
  • Honour opt-outs: stop contacting anyone who unsubscribes or asks you to stop, and do not circumvent Sesame's suppression list.
  • Not send deceptive, harassing, or unlawful content, and not misrepresent who you are or who you represent.
  • Not upload purchased or scraped contact lists in violation of applicable law or third-party terms, and not use the service to send bulk unsolicited email.
  • Not probe, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service, or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, including to protect the deliverability and reputation of the platform.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create or import (drafts, templates, contact lists, campaign data). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that content in order to operate the service, and to use platform-generated data to improve the service as described in our Privacy Policy (including the model-training limits and opt-out described there).

AI-generated content

Sesame uses AI models to generate research and email drafts. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Drafts are suggestions: you are responsible for reviewing and approving anything you send, and for the consequences of sending it.

Third-party services

The service connects to third-party providers (such as Google, Microsoft, and data-enrichment providers). Your use of those services is also governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.

Fees

If we introduce paid plans, pricing and billing terms will be presented before you are charged. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, for unlawful use, or to protect the service, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limits) survive.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that emails will be delivered, opened, or replied to, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
